Kurt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERtm Practitioner (CFP®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselorsm (CRPC®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®),  sought after speaker and industry expert.  He completed the program in financial planning with The College for Financial Planning, and passed the national CFP® certification examination administered by the National Board of Certified Financial Planners. Kurt is also a member of the national and regional chapters of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Kurt is an award winning financial columnist for the Times of Trenton & NJ.com and his column “Financial Focus” can be read every other Sunday in the business section.  Kurt’s www.Bringyourfinancestolife.com blog aims to empower readers to improve their financial life.

Kurt also shared his passion for finance and education as an Adjunct Professor of Finance for Monmouth University’s Business School in the department of Economics, Finance, & Real Estate, previously teaching on both the graduate and undergraduate levels.  Kurt was also recently named by InvestmentNews as a 2017 40 Under 40 honoree.  Inclusion in this exclusive list is based on accomplishments to date, contributions to the financial advisory industry, leadership and overall promise. Kurt was chosen from more than 800 nominations.

Kurt graduated from The College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Finance and also holds a MBA in Accounting from Monmouth University. He is a member of the international honor society Beta Gamma Sigma which is reserved for the top 20% of all master’s degree students in the field of business.  Kurt also serves on the board of trustees for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey.

Kurt and his wife, Lauren, have three children, Kurt Jr., Camryn and Aubrey. Kurt’s hobbies include spending time with his family and various sports including surfing, snowboarding, paddleboarding, and fishing.
